PROPOSED MAISON du VILLAGE

There are two extremely important meetings upcoming on the proposed Maison du Village Subdivision. COMMUNITY MEETING MARCH 30, 2023 AT 6:00 PM, COUNCIL CHAMBERS and PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING APRIL 11 2023 AT 6:00 PM, COUNCIL CHAMBERS

The developer proposes to place 89 slab-on-grade homesites on 39.22 acres. The property is located on Sylve Road behind the Lake Castle Private School. All ingress/egress will be on Sylve Road.

Sylve Road is an extremely narrow, two-lane roadway with water-filled ditches that loops between Highway 190 and Highway 433. Lake Castle uses both Sylve Road and Highway 433 as carpool lanes when school is in session. Existing residents will have even more difficulty turning onto Highway 190 from Dixie Ranch Road.

The developer intends to tie into the Timber Ridge Sewer Treatment Plant. Parish officials estimate the treatment plant will need to be expanded by 40,000 gallons per day to accommodate the increased demand load.

The developer will explain their plans for the project and the community can present their concerns at the COMMUNITY MEETING MARCH 30, 2023, 6:00 PM PARISH COUNCIL CHAMBERS on KOOP DRIVE.
